NFL star plans to race Olympic gold medalist

Tyreek Hill is widely regarded one of the most dynamic athletes in all of sports, much less in the NFL. But as he has previously discussed, he still wants to test himself against one of the fastest men in the world.

Hill has gone back and forth with Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles, who is widely regarded as one of the fastest men in the world after winning the gold medal in the 100 meter at the 2024 Olympic Games, on numerous occasions in the past few years, claiming that he can beat him in a foot race.

The two actually agreed on putting Hill’s claim to the test back in February, tentatively agreeing to a race that would happen “in the spring or summer of 2025”.

On Wednesday, Hill was asked whether the race was still something he was interested in partaking in, detailing that he is actually preparing by partaking in a race next month to prepare himself for Lyles.

“Actually I’ve got a race June 13, I’m doing like a little trial race so I can get in shape for that,” Hill said, via Pro Football Talk. “I’m looking forward to it.”

It seems like a long shot that Hill realistically has any chance of actually beating Lyles. But notably, Hill has gotten in perhaps the best shape of his career ahead of the 2025 NFL season, losing 14 pounds this offseason.

Even if Hill ends up losing against Lyles, expect for him to at least give a good account for himself in the race should it ever happen, as Hill has been terrorizing NFL cornerbacks with his blazing speed for the better part of the last decade.
