'I think…'– TNT Sports pundit drops major six-word Jadon Sancho prediction after Chelsea heroics vs Real Betis in Conference League final

TNT Sports pundit Joe Cole dropped his telling assessment on Jadon Sancho after the Manchester United player’s impact for Chelsea against Real Betis on Wednesday.

Jadon Sancho left Manchester United last summer and the 25-year-old Red Devils winger completed his move to Chelsea as part of a season-long loan deal.

Chelsea’s deal to sign Sancho from United included an obligation for the Blues to sign the ex-Borussia Dortmund ace for a fee between £20m to £25m this summer.

However, the Premier League club have a £5m clause option that they could exercise, which would mean the Blues would not have to sign Sancho permanently.

Sancho endured a disappointing spell at Old Trafford and the United loanee also had a high-profile falling out with former Red Devils and Ajax boss Erik ten Hag.

The former Borussia Dortmund star has netted five times and registered 10 assists in 41 matches across all competitions for Chelsea in the 2024-25 campaign.

What Joe Cole said about Jadon Sancho after Chelsea’s 4-1 win vs Real Betis in the 2025 UEFA Conference League final

Jadon Sancho came off the bench for Chelsea in the second half of the 2025 UEFA Conference League final and the Manchester United player made a real impact.

Chelsea were trailing in the final after Abde Ezzalzouli broke the deadlock in the first half for Real Betis, with Sancho being subbed on for Blues teammate Pedro Neto.

Enzo Fernandez found the equaliser for the Blues before Nicolas Jackson fired the Premier League side into the lead only five minutes later on Wednesday evening.

Sancho then curled a superb strike into the back of the Betis net in the 83rd minute before Moises Caicedo added Chelsea’s fourth of the match in injury time.

Enzo Maresca’s men completed their 4-1 comeback win against Betis and the Blues lifted the Conference League trophy at the Wroclaw Stadium in Poland.

Speaking on TNT Sports, former Chelsea star Joe Cole admitted in a six-word prediction that he still thinks there is “more to come” from Sancho in the future.

“He’s gone to Dortmund and he was a star, he’s gone to Manchester United and it wasn’t working,” he said.

“He’s got his career back on track and I think there’s more to come.”

Enzo Maresca reacted to Chelsea’s Conference League final win after the impact from Jadon Sancho and Co against Real Betis

Enzo Maresca is optimistic that Chelsea’s major silverware triumph and fourth-place finish in the Premier League could be a “starting point” for the club going forward.

“I’m very proud, I’m very happy,” the Chelsea manager said after the Conference League final.

“Personally, I feel good, but also because the fans deserve that – they’ve been waiting two or three years.

“The club has invested lots of money, so they are often waiting for results.

“Hopefully, this can be a starting point and from tonight we can create something important.”

Sancho has scored 12 times and picked up six assists in 83 appearances for United since the Red Devils signed him from Borussia Dortmund in a £73m deal in 2021.
