Manchester United fans may have a real worry on their hands as club captain Bruno Fernandes could be about to leave Old Trafford.
Winwin has reported that Fernandes’s agent, Miguel Pinho, has been spotted at a hotel situated near to Al-Hilal’s main headquarters.
The Saudi side have been pushing to sign the talented midfielder, offering Manchester United £100 million for their captain.
As for the contract, Fernandes has been offered a three year deal, earning him £65 million per season, equating to £700,000 per week.
With such a massive deal on the table, it’s obvious that Al-Hilal don’t want to be left waiting, with the club giving a 72 hour deadline to the midfielder, which seems to be more of a scare tactic, as the 72 hours ended at the start of the week.
Whilst Fernandes has expressed his desire to remain at the club, he also said that if United need to sell him for funds, he would respect the decision.
The club captain commented: “I’ve always said I will be here until the club says to me that it’s time to go. I’m eager to do more, to be able to bring the club the great days. In the day that the club thinks that I’m too much or it’s time to part ways, football is like this, you never know it.”
Now, with United’s extensive financial struggles, the sight of Pinho at a hotel so close to the Al-Hilal camp is an extremely worrying sign that The Red Devils are looking to cash in on their star as part of their extensive rebuild.
