With the 2024/25 Premier League campaign at an end, various publications have released their Teams of the Season, and a couple of Arsenal players have made it in.
Alan Shearer picked his team for the official Premier League website, including both William Saliba and Declan Rice.

On Saliba, Shearer wrote that the defender was “a rock at the heart of the meanest Premier League defence for a second season running”, deserving his place in the former striker’s team for the third year in a row.
As for Rice, Shearer praised the midfielder as “technically superb and incredibly strong in his duels”, noting that the player’s “inspired displays” had also helped Arsenal into the Champions League semi-finals.

For the BBC, Troy Deeney also picked the same two Arsenal players. He suggested that Saliba’s shaky end to the campaign raised a few questions, but added that his partnership with Gabriel Magalhaes works well and allows him to be the “Rolls Royce” of the back line.
Deeney picked Rice because he believes the 26-year-old has “taken a massive leap” in his game this season, adding goals and becoming “one of the top three holding midfielders in world football”.
The pundit went on to say that Rice’s “ability to run and press and dominate games without the ball is exceptional” but that he’s “taken his game to another level” by “adding what he can do with the ball”.
The two Arsenal players will now hope to make it into the Premier League’s official Team of the Season, which should be announced before long.
