After the 2024 NFL season ended with a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are back to begin preparing for 2025.
While different NFL teams started organized team activities (OTAs) last week, the Chiefs kicked off on Tuesday, with both Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce in attendance for the voluntary event. Kansas City's OTAs are scheduled for May 27-29, June 2-4 and June 10-13.
On Thursday, the final day of the first OTA session, the Chiefs shared a photo of Mahomes at practice, showing off his new haircut. The Kansas City quarterback is notably rocking a much shorter hairstyle than in recent years.
"Fresh cut Pat ð®ð¨ @PatrickMahomes," the Chiefs wrote on X.
While some fans had different opinions on Mahomes' new haircut, others couldn't help but notice his body transformation. They took to social media to leave their thoughts.
"Crispy cut," one fan said.
"He is now looking like a father of 3," wrote another.
"Oh the ð we ❤️," added a third.
"PAT LOST WEIGHT!!! Wow. Bro got that DAWWWWG in him I see it sheeeeeesh The Kingdom Soon come," posted a fourth.
"When will it be time that Patrick matures and decides to wear a proper adult haircut?" asked a fifth.
"You can already see it on the face and neck. Y'all really roasted him into getting fit. Now the league better watch out," commented a sixth.

Shortly after the Super Bowl loss in February, Mahomes was seen for the first time sporting his short haircut at his grandfather's funeral. But the former Texas Tech star had foreshadowed the change in the 2023 Netflix docuseries "Quarterback."
“This is my last year with the hair,” Mahomes said. “The hair is gone next year. I’m going (with a) different hairstyle (than) this year... I almost did it this year, but Head and Shoulders would have been mad. I can’t have two kids and a Mohawk.”
