WATCH: Kobbie Mainoo stars in latest Beats by Dre spot

Audio brand Beats by Dre has signed Manchester United and England star Kobbie Mainoo to be its latest ambassador and feature in a new promotional film.

The move sees Kobbie Mainoo join an ever-growing list of top footballing talents lending their name to Beats by Dre campaigns, which already includes the likes of Erling Haaland, Lamine Yamal and Lionel Messi.

Filmed entirely in Manchester, the 60-second clip showcases a focused and determined Mainoo training in the streets of his home city, set to the track ‘ABC’ by Nemzzz, who also stars in the film.

“Ever since I was a kid, music has been a big part of my life. Nowadays, I have specific playlists to get me in the zone for different moments in my life, like staying locked in during training, or getting ready for a big game. I’ve always been a huge fan of Beats, so I’m really excited to be able to work together,” said Mainoo.

The clip follows on from ‘Lamine Records’, a spot released earlier this month starring Barcelona and Spain winger Yamal in which the teenager plays the CEO of his own record label.

Chris Thorne, CMO and head of product at Beats by Dre added: “Kobbie is a generational talent and we are delighted to welcome him into the Beats family.

“The film is reflective of both Kobbie’s deep connection to music and the tremendous sense of local pride that Kobbie is a source of in his hometown of Manchester.”
