Since Ruben Amorim arrived at Manchester United, the status of Harry Maguire has changed drastically.
The appointment of Ruben Amorim in November was an interesting one by Ineos, with the squad not at all suited to playing the 3-4-2-1 system that we have all become familiar with.
Unsurprisingly, this resulted in months of struggles for Manchester United, although Amorim has claimed he is glad for this because it should, in theory, mean he avoids teething pains next season.
Following the conclusion of the season, Amorim promised the good times are coming for United, claiming that the storm he foresaw had come to an end.
If good times arrive next season, it will see a vastly different team accomplish this with an overhaul expected to be completed by Ineos.
Only four players are considered irreplaceable by Amorim, and Harry Maguire is one.

Harry Maguire warns Manchester United teammates over summer clearout
Amorim extended Maguire’s contract by one year early in his reign, and since then, the Englishman has been immense and one of United’s players of the season. Due to his importance on and off the pitch, Maguire is well placed to speak about the problems right now.
Now, Maguire has been speaking with the press in India, where he was with Andre Onana and Diogo Dalot at a press event.

In doing so, Maguire issued a stark warning after reviewing the terrible season United had endured, as he told NDTV.
“Players have to take responsibility,” he admitted. “We slipped in the Premier League. We were more focused on the Europa League, but that’s no excuse.
“It’s Manchester United—we can’t accept where we are. There will be a lot of players who will leave. Things have to change.”
This is a warning to his teammates to either fix up or leave this summer, with the club leader showing almost that he has grown tired of his teammates’ poor displays.
Who could Manchester United sell and for how much?
United are expected to see double-digit sales this summer, with the departures of Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof all set for release.
However, there will be some big money sales made by United, with Amorim telling Alejandro Garnacho to leave, which is only one of several players to be on the transfer list.
Manchester United possible sales and prices
Alejandro Garnacho – £50m
Antony – £40m
Marcus Rashford – £40m
Jadon Sancho – £25m
Rasmus Hojlund – £30m
Casemiro – £15m
Altay Bayindir – £10m
Andre Onana – £25m
Bruno Fernandes – £100m
Total – £335m
If this clear-out was to happen at United, it would leave Ineos needing several additions, however, all of these moves have been linked recently, which would be an insane window.
The majority of these sales, apart from Fernandes, are moves that would not impact United negatively, instead allowing for substantial improvements to be added.
Maguire has set the gauntlet, now his teammates must show improvements or risk being sold by United.
