Morgan Rogers has been linked with a move away from Aston Villa after a stellar season.

Despite missing out on Champions League football after defeat at Old Trafford, that doesn’t take away from the quality of the 22-year-old’s campaign.

This saw the versatile attacker earn a call-up to the senior England team and become a key starter under Unai Emery in B6.

As a result, it is little surprise that Rogers would be of interest to various top sides with the summer transfer window around the corner.

There is no doubt that without the Englishman, Villa could have ended up with a much worse finish than sixth in the Premier League.

The ex-Manchester City youngster has been excellent in front of goal and when providing for his teammate, which has certainly caught the eye.

This has seen Liverpool show an interest in Rogers, although Villa seem keen not to sell their star youngster [TBR Football, 7 May].

With that being said, former Brentford and Leicester City boss Martin Allen has put forward a fee that could potentially tempt the Villans into letting Rogers go this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Allen said: “I don’t think he’d want to leave at the moment.

“I think he’s a good player and he’s done really well this season. Aston Villa won’t want to sell outfield players, especially young, English ones.

“I don’t think they would, but if they were to sell him, he’d have to be in that £60m-70m bracket. He’s got so much potential, so I can’t see Villa wanting to weaken their team.

“*They’ll be disappointed with how the season ended, but they’ve still got so much to look forward to with the environment of these players.*“

Rogers could force Aston Villa exit

It may prove to be difficult for Rogers to replicate his hype this season and the form he has shown throughout the campaign.

As a result, a summer move to the likes of Premier League champions Liverpool could prove to be too tempting for him to personally turn down.

This would have to see Villa recieve a sizable fee, above £60m as Allen has suggested, to even be tempted into agreeing to a sale.

If that were to happen, there would be a number of options to replace the ex-Middlesbrough man, with Jack Grealish recently emerging as an option again in B6.
