How to watch Hong Kong vs Man Utd in US and UK - TV channel, live stream, early team news

Manchester United fans in Kuala Lumpur got the authentic experience of watching the Red Devils earlier this week when Ruben Amorim's side was beaten 1-0 by ASEAN All-Stars and then got booed off.

But the Portuguese coach will hope that there is a different outcome today against Hong Kong. Having finished 15th in the Premier League, Manchester United has endured a dismal campaign, and it hasn't stopped yet.

Amorim has been honest with his assessments since he arrived at Manchester United mid-season to replace Erik ten Hag. And the 40-year-old admitted fans were correct to jeer his players last time out.

Ahead of this game, he said: "If you can afford it — that is the important thing — then you support your club. I have my club as a young kid in Portugal.

"No matter what the situation was, I was there — and I suffered a lot, in Benfica in the 90s. It was a struggle, a lot, but I never stopped buying tickets and [for] my father it was a gift in my birthday.

"So it’s going to be the same [in Hong Kong]. These people believe in Manchester United, no matter what the context. It’s our job, it’s our duty to improve the team and to improve the next season."

The game kicks off at 8pm local time (1pm UK time and 8am ET) and will be shown live exclusively to MUTV subscribers. It can be streamed via their service online and also on televisions for those who have the channel.

Amorim used 27 of his 32-man squad in Kuala Lumpur, although nobody played for longer than a half. Altay Bayindir was an unused substitute and might therefore start here.

Matthijs de Ligt, Mason Mount, Luke Shaw and Joshua Zirkzee all watched from the sidelines. Their minutes are being managed to ensure they are fully fit for the start of pre-season.

Amorim said Shaw would not play in Hong Kong either. Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire and Andre Onana have traveled to India to engage with fans and partners rather than take part in the match.

Hong Kong, the team that Manchester United will face here, is the region's representative team in international football.

They are coached by Ashley Westwood, who started his career at the Manchester United academy. He went on to play for Bradford City, Sheffield Wednesday and Wrexham.

Manchester United is picking up around $11 million (£8 million) for its post-season tour. Losing the Europa League final to Spurs, it won't be playing any European soccer next season.
