Arsenal are in talks with RB Leipzig over a deal to sign Benjamin Sesko, according to reports. And it would be a huge deal for the Gunners, who have been tracking the Slovenian forward for some time.
Arsenal were in talks to sign the youngster - who turns 22 on Saturday - last summer, but he decided to spend another season in Germany, penning a new deal with RB Leipzig.
That new contract was not going to put Arsenal or other suitors off, however, with the contract more to safeguard the German side against losing out on big money were they to sell him.
And it looks as i the time to sell may be now, with Arsenal opening talks over a whopping £92.5million transfer.
Sesko is hot property. He scored 21 goals and laid on six assists in 45 games for the German outfit this season, adding to the 18 goals and two assists he got last season.
He was particularly prolific at the end of the season - when Arsenal were not in the Premier League - enjoying a goal involvement in 13 of the last 16 Bundesliga matches - 11 goals and two assists. He went on an incredible run of scoring in each of the last seven matches of the season.
The 6ft 4in striker is a strong and powerful frontman, with electric pace. He has the potential to be a superstar and it is easy to see why Mikel Arteta and new sporting director Andrea Berta would be keen to sign him.
But his signing will come with a great deal of pressure. Arsenal supporters and pundits alike seem to think that a striker is all that is stopping the Gunners from winning the Premier League title finally.
Arsenal have finished runners-up in the title race in each of the last three seasons, but dropped away this season in finishing ten points adrift of Liverpool.
Injuries to Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus left them without a recognised striker for much of the second half of the campaign and it showed.
And completing a deal worth a staggering £92.5million comes with its own pressures. The expectation on Sesko's shoulders will be enormous, he will be seen as the saviour.
But that will be a lot for a 22-year-old to deal with, particularly coming into a new league. And, it may not go as smoothly as people might hope in his first season.
Erling Haaland is a standout when it comes to moving from the Bundesliga to the Premier League - a phenomenon who seems to be able to turn it on wherever he goes.
But what of other players? Omar Marmoush has already recently made the move to Man City from the German league and a hat-trick against Newcastle aside, scored four goals in 15 other matches. He has been bright, but goals do not always come easy in the Premier League for newbies.
Jean-Philippe Mateta has shone at Crystal Palace in the last couple of seasons, but he only scored 11 goals across the first two seasons after his move from Mainz was made permanent.
Christopher Nkunku has trod the same path from Leipzig to London, but has struggled for any kind of form at Chelsea, while look at Havertz and his Premier League experience.
He is now an integral part of Arteta's Arsenal side, but he did not have things easy at first at Chelsea, nor in his first few months at the Emirates Stadium.
Timo Werner, Sebastian Haller, Nicklas Fullkrug - there are plenty of other names who have tried and failed to make the grade in England from Germany.
Sesko does seem like something of a generational talent, but placing all your hopes on a 22-year-old to hit the ground running may be misguided.
