According to [**Florian Plettenberg**](https://x.com/Plettigoal/status/1928104921380872281), Chelsea’s pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitiké (22) remains unaffected despite being in advanced talks to sign another striker this summer. The Premier League club are set to complete a deal worth £30m to sign Liam Delap (22) from Ipswich Town.
Chelsea are not the only club pushing to sign the former Paris Saint-Germain striker this summer. Liverpool have also opened talks to sign the Frenchman, who is valued by the Bundesliga club at €100m. However, the UEFA Conference League winners are said to be in more advanced talks than the Merseyside outfit, who are pursuing more important targets like Florian Wirtz.
##### An influx of strikers
The recruitment drive at Stamford Bridge doesn’t look to be slowing down, and despite Enzo Maresca preferring a system with one striker, it appears the Blues could complete three signings in the striking department this window. In addition to Delap and Ekitiké, Chelsea are aiming to complete a deal that would see Emanuel Emegha join the club from Strasbourg in 2026, **Fabrizio Romano** reports.
