During the winter market, Eduard Spertsyan was one of a multitude of players [linked with Leeds United](https://sportwitness.co.uk/he-deserves-more-player-told-deadline-day-move-to-leeds-united-shouldnt-be-his-plan/). Daniel Farke’s side were looking for additions to help them seal promotion to the Premier League, a feat they managed in the end.
The transfer didn’t happen for the Krasnodar star and he’s popped up in the Leeds United rumour mill on several occasions since. The most recent claims came this week, when it was reported in England that Leeds United have reignited their interest in the Armenia international.
Those claims made their way to the Russian media, and [Championat](https://www.championat.com/football/news-6031490-eduard-spercyan-ne-perejdyot-v-lids.html) have worked to find out if there’s any truth in Leeds United returning for Spertsyan.
Championat state they’ve contacted a source, who they describe as being familiar with the situation, and that source has told them: _“The English club has not sent and does not plan to send an offer for the player in the summer, despite specific interest in the player in the winter.”_
That would make it sound like Leeds United have moved on from the attacking midfielder and have other targets ahead of the summer window.
Of course, that can change as the weeks go on, but as it stands there’s nothing between Spertsyan and Leeds United and there’s not expected to be either.
