Manchester United’s search for a striker appears to be increasingly complicated as forwards are being taken off the market.
Manchester United need attacking options this summer after scoring just 44 goals in 38 Premier League games.
Matheus Cunha is poised to join United, but the Brazilian is likely to play as a number 10 in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 approach.
United must invest in a new striker, but Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap appears to be signing for Chelsea.
Delap agreed personal terms with United ahead of a potential £30million move, only to pick the Blues instead.
United will now need to pivot to other striking targets, but another player on the Old Trafford radar could join a Premier League rival too.

Arsenal move for Manchester United target Benjamin Sesko
Benjamin Sesko’s name has been connected to United for a long, long time.
More United News
Sesko snubbed United in 2022 as he left Red Bull Salzburg to join RB Leipzig, staying in the Red Bull family.
United approached Sesko last year, but a deal was completely shut down when the Slovenian decided to stay in Germany.
United’s interest has lingered, though, and Christopher Vivell watched Sesko in action just last month.
Vivell has been a key figure in Sesko’s career, helping facilitate moves to both Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig.
United may have Sesko in mind after missing out on Delap, but he could also end up with a Premier League rival.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Arsenal have made their move for Sesko, starting talks with RB Leipzig over a deal.
Romano claims Sesko ‘will leave’ RB Leipzig and Arsenal are now moving to the front of the queue for his signature.
The 21-year-old scored 13 Bundesliga goals this past season and Arsenal appear ready to invest in his sky-high potential.
🚨 Understand Arsenal have started moving initial concrete talks for Benjamin Šeško deal.
He’s always been high on recruitment team, management, Mikel Arteta list with attempts to get deal done rejected by Leipzig in May 2024 and January…

Liam Delap snub presents serious Manchester United problem
A deal for Sesko certainly won’t be cheap, and highlights the problem of United missing out on Delap.
The £30million fee for Delap seemed to fit perfectly into United’s budget, especially after missing out on Champions League qualification.
The simple fact is that there won’t be many strikers out there who can make a difference for United at a similar price.
Delap has already shown his quality in the Premier League and still has the potential to improve; those players don’t tend to move for £30million.
Strikers such as Sesko, Viktor Gyokeres and Victor Osimhen will not only command higher price tags but surely higher wages too.
United must move on quickly from Delap but may need to forget about Sesko as well, as Arsenal make their move.
