Barcelona are reportedly planning to make Marc-Andre ter Stegen available for transfer if Joan Garcia arrives from Espanyol this summer.
The Catalans are hoping to land Garcia from their local rivals in a deal worth €25 million but do face competition from several other clubs.
According to RAC1, if Barca are successful in landing Garcia then their plan is to offload Ter Stegen.
The report adds that Barcelona are still waiting for a response from Garcia but are “confident he will accept their proposal.”
Ter Stegen missed most of last season with a serious injury which saw Barca bring Wojciech Szczęsny out of retirement and he became the team’s No. 1.
The rumor mill thinks that Szczesny is set to continue at Barca, after being offered a two-year deal, but Ter Stegen could be shown the exit door.
The goalkeeper is set to feature for Germany next week in the Nations League Final Four and has already been told by Julian Nagelsmann he’s still their No. 1 despite his long injury absence.
