Rumour Mongering: Wolves Target Liverpool Talent Morrison

According to Fabrizio Romano, Wolverhampton Wanderers have made an approach for Liverpool FC’s 18-year-old attacker Kieran Morrison, with other European clubs also sniffing around the player.

Morrison has been on the fringes of the first-team squad for a while now and was named amongst the match-day substitutes for Liverpool’s dead rubber UEFA Champions League tie against PSV Eindhoven on 29 January 2025. The left-footed player mostly plays on the right wing, but is also capable of playing as a central attacking midfielder.

After scoring 11 times in 20 appearances in the U18 Premier League last season for Liverpool, Morrison had a slightly more subdued season with 3 goals and 4 assists in 19 appearances in Premier League 2 action. He also contributed another 3 goals in UEFA Youth League competition.

If he does move, it looks like a transfer that will benefit all sides. Liverpool are always clearing space for more talent to come through and at 18, Morrison will need more playing time at higher levels of football rather than just Academy-level involvement.
