Spanish soccer giant Real Madrid [used social media](https://x.com/realmadrid/status/1928391039552835680?s=19) and its official website to announce a huge first team transfer on Friday morning.
“Real Madrid CF and Liverpool FC have reached an agreement that will keep Trent Alexander-Arnold at our club for the next six seasons, from June 1, 2025, to June 30, 2031,” a statement regarding the development began.
“The 26-year-old English international joins our team after winning nine titles with Liverpool: one Champions League, one Club World Cup, one European Super Cup, two Premier League titles, 1 FA Cup, 2 League Cups, and one Community Shield,” it added.
Madrid noted that Alexander-Arnold has spent his entire career at Liverpool until now, while also becoming a full England international that has featured at two World Cup and two Euros.
It also explained how the 26-year-old has been named in the FIFPRO World 11 once, the Champions League Team of the Season twice and the Premier League’s All-Star Team three times amid being named the English top flights Young Player of the Year.
“Alexander-Arnold will play with Real Madrid in the Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States starting June 14,” the correspondence conclude, with _COPE_ reporting that Madrid has had to pay Liverpool $5.7 million (€5 million) to make this happen.
