Everton are leaving some of their contract decisions right until the last minute.
The summer transfer market is about to open for business and Everton have a lot to work on ahead of the new season.
David Moyes won’t be able to relax with the club looking to progress on the hard work which was shown during the second half of the campaign.
The Friedkins are ready to back Moyes in the market, but it is already looking like the recruitment staff are going to have their work cut out.
Away from transfers, Everton still have some considerable work to do with contract decisions still needing to be made.
Idrissa Gana Gueye is now expected to stay at Everton, and there has now been some promising news over another new deal.

Isaac Heath agrees new Everton contract
Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s Everton future remains in the balance as he has still not agreed to a new deal on Merseyside.
There are other players such as Michael Keane who fall into the same category.

According to Harry Watkinson, Isaac Heath is not one of those players, though, as he has agreed to a new deal.

The 20-year-old prospect was another player set to depart over the coming weeks at the end of his deal.
But there has been a promising development with the winger agreeing to a new three-year deal.
Heath has trained with Everton’s first team under Moyes having impressed in the academy set-up over the 2024/25 campaign.
With Everton opening contract talks with Heath recently, there has been no issue on landing an agreement.
Everton must loan out Isaac Heath next season
Heath is yet to play for the Everton first team with opportunities not coming under Moyes in the second half of the season.
With Everton looking to really push on, there will be questions as to whether many youngsters will be handed opportunities under the 62-year-old.
Harrison Armstrong really impressed out on loan with Derby County and has shown other Everton youngsters there are opportunities to be had.
The midfielder could now return to Finch Farm and earn himself a spot in Moyes’ thinking for the new season.
Everton must do the same with Heath or face him not developing at the rate they would like.
