Kevin De Bruyne is yet to officially decide where the next chapter of his career will take place.
The 33-year-old will leave Man City this summer after 10 successful years at the Etihad Stadium, after the Premier League side made the decision not to offer the midfielder a new contract as his current deal expires in a few weeks.
It was reported this week that De Bruyne has yet to make a decision on his future as several clubs are still in the race for his signature, with joining another Premier League club still on the table for the Man City legend.
West Ham and Aston Villa have previously shown interest in De Bruyne, however, his wife has already made up her mind on where she would like the 33-year-old to play next season.

Kevin De Bruyne’s wife favours a move to Napoli
Napoli have been strongly linked with a move for De Bruyne in recent weeks, and the Serie A champions are seen as the favourites to land the Belgian as they can offer the midfielder the chance to continue playing in the Champions League next season.
Speaking about the Man City star’s situation, Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur has revealed that De Bruyne’s wife would love to move to Napoli this summer, as it is a destination that would also suit their children.

“Kevin De Bruyne only basically has to sign the contract and has to do his medical test, I guess,” Terreur told Football Daily’s Euro Leagues show.
“He’s given his word to Napoli at the end of last week, when basically the family gave their yes, we’re moving there. Also, because you have the Belgian angle there, Romelu Lukaku is a good friend of his.
“And then you have Dries Mertens, who’s become a legend at Napoli between 2014 and 2022, I think, when he left. And he’s basically, everybody is expecting Mertens to retire from football after he became champion with Galatasaray now, and he’s moving back to Napoli.”

“So you have three Belgians that are really close to each other in the same city, and then Mrs. De Bruyne also likes Napoli because they’ve been married in the area. So they would love their son, the kids, and the most important thing was finding a good school for the kids.
“They found the American school in Napoli because the kids grew up in England and they speak English better than Dutch, I think. So they had to find a place where the kids felt at ease, and the American school convinced them too.”
Napoli would be a great club for De Bruyne to write the next chapter of his career; however, until the Belgian has put pen to paper with the Italian club, the others in the race will feel they still have a chance to land the Man City legend.
The other clubs in the race for Kevin De Bruyne
Alongside Napoli, Chicago Fire are seen as one of the favourites to sign De Bruyne as the MLS side have been keen on the 33-year-old for some time now.
It was reported this week that Fenerbahce made an offer to De Bruyne worth £21m a year, but the midfielder is not likely to go down that route and join Jose Mourinho in Turkey.
Premier League clubs such as Aston Villa and West Ham have shown an interest in signing the 33-year-old, but given his history with Man City, it is hard to see the Belgian remaining in England next season, as he will not want to upset the Manchester club’s fanbase.
All signs are pointing towards De Bruyne being a new Napoli player, and it is a club where the City legend could become a hero if he can lead the Italian side to trophies.
