Club set to pocket €700,000 from Everton deal – Transfer seen as done

Argentine side Racing Club are set to pocket around $700,000 from Charly Alcaraz’s permanent move to Everton.

That’s [according to TyC Sports](https://www.tycsports.com/premier-league/everton-comprara-a-carlos-alcaraz-por-una-cifra-millonaria-cuanto-le-queda-a-racing-id664546.html) and [El Grafico](https://www.elgrafico.com.ar/articulo/la-jornada-esta-aqui/89586/cuanto-dinero-le-deja-a-racing-la-millonaria-venta-de-alcaraz-a-everton), who report that the midfielder’s former club are set to earn big from the move to Everton.

Reports yesterday and today have made it clear that Everton are pushing ahead with a permanent move for Alcaraz this week.

The midfielder has spent the second half of this season on loan from Flamengo. That deal included a clause for Everton to buy him, which would have been mandatory if he’d played a certain number of games.

That never happened but Everton have elected to sign him anyway in a deal that would be worth €15m, plus €3m in bonuses. That deal is expected to be finalised sooner rather than later.

And it will be celebrated at Racing, who will pocket 5% of the overall deal thanks to FIFA’s Solidarity Scheme. That offers training clubs a percentage of future transfers on players.

Alcaraz came through Racing’s youth set up and progressed to the first team, making 83 appearances in total before moving to Southampton in January 2023.

Now the Argentine side are set to benefit again, with $700,000 coming their way thanks to Everton’s move this week.
