Tottenham have dismissed their highly-regarded coach Paul Bracewell, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed the former Everton midfielder left the Premier League club, where he was listed as a “senior academy coach”, last month.

Sources have told Football Insider that Bracewell could now be set to join a new club, with offers already on the table.

Bracewell has built a fine reputation at the top level as an individual development coach, and has worked for many years for the Spurs academy nurturing their top young talents.

Tottenham sources say Bracewell officially left his role in the club’s Academy set-up last month “due to his role being made redundant”.

Following a brief spell at Halifax Town, the ex-Sunderland man returned to the Stadium of Light in 2013, taking on a role coaching the club’s under-21s and under-18s.

Success in the post saw the now 62-year-old promoted to first-team coach and assistant manager before he left the club in June 2017.

Bracewell has since become an elite development coach with Spurs, and has forged an excellent reputation working alongside some of the club’s most promising young players.

On the transfer front, Football Insider understands Wrexham have opened talks to sign Tottenham defender Ben Davies when his contract expires.

The newly-promoted Championship club are working on a deal to land the 32-year-old Wales international on a free transfer this summer.

It is believed Davies will consider multiple offers before deciding where he will play next term.

This comes after Football Insider revealed on 11 May that Tottenham are prepared to lose Davies on a free transfer as part of a major squad overhaul.
