Caroline Møller has announced her departure from Real Madrid. The 26-year-old forward joined the club in 2021 and played some of her best football during her time there. Another possible departure is Melanie Leupolz, according to journalist [Andrea Peláez Marzo](https://x.com/Andrea_Pelaez_/status/1928366227082166738). Ongoing knee problems may force the German midfielder to retire this summer.
In the [Liga F](https://womenfootball.blog/la-liga-f-liga-profesional-de-futbol-femenino/) 2024/2025 season, Møller played 15 games, scored 5 goals, and provided 2 assists. She shared the following farewell message on social media:
“Today I say goodbye to what has been my home for the last four years, but I didn’t want to do it without thanking you for all the love and support you have shown me during my four seasons here. I have carried the white crest close to my heart, with great pride and I have tried to fight every day for our club.
“Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Thank you for making me feel at home from day one. Thank you to my teammates and the coaching staff for everything you’ve given me during my time as a Guiri in Spain.
“And to all my Real Madrid fans, who have always been there for the good and bad times. I want to say that you’ve supported me very much and I never thought that the fans could give me so much. I have no word for everything you’ve given me. I hope to see you again very soon. You are already my family, and I will carry you in my heart forever. A big hug for all of you, I love you all.”
Leupolz suffered an MCL injury in March during a match against Arsenal, shortly after returning from a similar injury to the same knee. Although surgery was not required in either case, she was ruled out for the rest of the season.
