Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and manager Ruben Amorim risk falling out over Bruno Fernandes' proposed Saudi move.
Fernandes, 30, admitted he was questioning his future at Old Trafford as the Red Devils sunk to new lows after their Europa League final loss to Spurs - with United reportedly putting every player up for sale. The prospect of losing their captain, who scored 19 goals in 57 games this campaign, is now a major fear for United fans.
Al-Hilal have registered concrete interest in Fernandes and reports from overnight suggest he is giving "serious consideration" to a potential move, which has seen the Portuguese midfielder - who turns 31 in September - offered a whopping £800,000-per-week, with talks said to be "positive".
Daily Star Sport understands Ratcliffe is willing to sell Fernandes to raise much-needed funds for United, given their dire financial situation, after missing out on Champions League qualification and a payday of up to £100million.
However, Amorim is desperate to keep his talisman and would be left seething if the controversial move is approved, given his countryman's importance to the fallen Premier League giants.

Amorim was asked about Fernandes' future while on their post-season tour of Asia: "It’s important for Bruno to see that we are changing a lot of things in our club. The behaviour, the everyday organisation, the pace of training.
"All these things, if he sees that we are doing that across all levels, he will want to stay at this club. He loves this club.
"That is the most important thing - not the Champions League. He wants to win with this club and he trains and behaves at a high level. Everybody here needs to do that - he will be here for that."

Speaking after the Europa League defeat, Fernandes said: "If the club thinks it's time to part ways because they want to do some cashing in or whatever, it's what it is.
"Football sometimes is like this. I've always said I will be here until the club says to me that it's time to go.

"I'm eager to do more, to be able to bring the club to the great days. The day that the club thinks that I'm too much or it's time to part ways, football is like this, you never know it. But I've always said it and I keep my word in the same way."
