Under 21s winger Kamarai Swyer has agreed to join Northampton Town when his current contract expires at the end of June.
Swyer, who was part of the hugely successful double-winning squad in the 2022/23 season was promoted from the Under 18s to the Under 21s - along with the likes of George Earthy and Freddie Potts - in September 2023.
However unlike his two former team mates, the club have decided Swyer's future lies elsewhere - allowing him to reach agreement with Northampton, who are currently managed by former West Ham captain and coach, Kevin Nolan.
Confirming the 20-year-old's arrival, Nolan said: "Kamarai is a talented young player with huge potential, who I have worked with before so I know all about him. He’s hungry, technically gifted, he takes people on and is a good athlete who is a good size and has an excellent attitude.
"We’re excited to welcome him to the squad and look forward to working with him and to see him develop with us over the next two years.
"We think we are getting him at a good time. He is on an upward curve, he had a standout season in Premier League 2 last season with eight goals and ten assists, the most number of goal involvements for any West Ham player.
"He is ready to challenge himself and to go to the next level - and that is what we will work with him to help him achieve."
A statement on West Ham's website added: "Everyone at West Ham United would like to thank Kamarai for his 14 years of service and wishes him every success in the next chapter of his career at Northampton Town."
