The Spurs will play in the California Classic Summer League for the third year in a row. They will join the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, and hosts Golden State Warriors in San Francisco between July 5 and July 8.
San Antonio has been participating in summer league events before the main Las Vegas tournament for a while now, with this being their third consecutive appearance in the California Classic. Last offseason, the gathering featured eight teams, including one comprised of Chinese players, and was co-hosted by the Kings and Warriors. This time, it’s a smaller competition featuring just four NBA teams facing each other in the Chase Center. Here’s the schedule:

The Spurs will kick things off on July 5 by facing the Heat before battling the Warriors on July 6. Finally, they’ll play the Lakers on July 8.
The event could allow Spurs fans to see the No. 2 overall pick in the draft before the Las Vegas Summer League, set to kick off on July 10. Stephon Castle, last year’s lottery selection, suited up for two of the three games of the California Classic, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see some prized rookies making their debuts. Aside from the rookies, there should be some sophomores around, along with prospects trying to catch the attention of a team.
The NBA draft will take place on June 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
