Manchester United completed the post-season tour of Asia on Friday with a 3-1 win over Hong Kong.
In response to being booed in Malaysia on Wednesday, Ruben Amorim named a strong team from the start against the Hong Kong national team.
However, it made little difference immediately as, despite dominating early proceedings, United went 1-0 behind to Hong Kong.
It stayed this way until the 50th minute when Chido Obi scored his first senior goal for Manchester United to draw the teams level.
Obi then got his second of the game in the 80th minute with a brilliant header to further remind fans of his clinical ability.
Ayden Heaven concluded the scoring with a header thanks to Amad’s cross.
The game ended 3-1, and now the players and Amorim will head off on holiday. But here is how they rated in the game.

Manchester United’s player ratings vs Hong Kong
Tom Heaton – 3
Terrible attempt at saving the Hong Kong goal, beaten at his near post. Didn’t have anything to do otherwise.
More United News
Tyler Fredricson – 6
Another mature and composed performance from Fredricson, who did everything he was asked to do well.
Jonny Evans – 6
In Evans’ final United appearance, he was as reliable as ever despite having nothing to do.
Godwill Kukonki – 5
Showed some positive signs but was weak for the goal, although he will have assumed Heaton would have saved it.
Jaydan Kamason – 7
A real threat down the right at wing-back, one of the standouts of the first half, and could have had an assist or two on another day.
Casemiro – 5
Offered a threat in attack and almost scored a sensational goal, but looked to be playing at half-speed.
Bruno Fernandes – 4
On a day when his United future is a hot topic, Fernandes’ head seemed elsewhere in a disappointing performance. Missed a one-on-one chance by attempting to rabona the chance.
Harry Amass – 6
In the thick of the action for United early on, maturity shone through as he had a very solid
Shea Lacey – 7
Lacey looked electric every time he got the ball and certainly made the most of his start, and will have secured his place on tour in July despite getting just 25 minutes.
Alejandro Garnacho – 8
Responded well to a bad few weeks on and off the pitch, and looked like the sharpest player on the pitch, creating countless chances. Had fans singing renditions of “Viva Garnacho” with some of his dribbles.
Rasmus Hojlund – 2
Once again offered virtually nothing bar maybe one nice show of strength, and also failed to convert a few chances after bad touches. Not good enough against opponents he should be dominating. His day was made worse as his junior striking rival outperformed him. Hojlund’s fate should be sealed.
Substitutes
Sekou Kone – 6.5
Replacing Casemiro in the 25th minute, and looked sharp again but failed to have the same impact he did against ASEAN All-Stars.
Tyler Fletcher – 6.5
Similar to Kone, he replaced Lacey and was moved to his favoured number six role, where he did his job very well and didn’t put a foot wrong, dictating play from deep.
Altay Bayindir – 6.5
Like Heaton, Bayindir had little to do, but unlike his teammate, he saved the chances he faced. Crucial intervention late on.
Reece Munro – 6
Looked comfortable in possession and barely put a foot wrong out of it. Made a big block to deny a Hong Kong counterattack.
Dan Armer – 5.5
Had little to do, but was less eye-catching than Munro, having been caught out of possession a few times.
Ayden Heaven – 7
The most experienced centre-back on the pitch, and he got his first goal for the club late on after a delightful cross from Amad.
Amad – 6.5
Showed some glimpses of his best, but played in second gear for the 45 minutes he played. Still produced a magical cross to seal a 3-1 win with an assist.
Toby Collyer – 6.5
Put in some crunching tackles, which added much-needed fire to the fixture.
Manuel Ugarte – 7
Helped change the game for United, winning the ball high up the pitch on numerous occasions, which helped in United’s countless chances created.
Patrick Dorgu – 7
Looked like a real threat down the left while also putting some very good balls into the box.
Mason Mount – 8
He was a threat every time he got the ball and was rewarded with an assist for Obi’s second goal.
Kobbie Mainoo – 6
Missed a big chance but did impress with his passing and dribbling in an advanced position.
Chido Obi – 9
Obi scored his first senior goal for United with a brilliant finish, outshining Hojlund once more and sending a clear message to Amorim. The second goal was a brilliant header as well, something Hojlund cannot do.
Jim Thwaites – 5.5
Showed some nice touches but didn’t really impact the game.
Jack Moorhouse – 5.5
Will be gutted to have been left til late, but didn’t do enough when he was brought on.
