After missing out on Liam Delap, with the Ipswich Town striker heading to Chelsea, Manchester United are returning to their shortlist of strikers and pushing once more for Victor Osimhen.
The Napoli striker has spent the last season on loan with Galatasaray, contributing to the club winning the Super Lig and the Turkiye Kupasi ith 36 goals and eight assists in 40 games.
As such, the Nigeria international is one of the most in-form strikers in the world of football now, yet Antonio Conte has no interest in re-integrating him into the Napoli squad.
Enter Manchester United.
The Red Devils are keen to jump on Osimhen’s seemingly imminent exit, leveraging Conte’s interest in one of their own stars as part of a swap-deal.

Manchester United push to sign Victor Osimhen
The Mirror has reported that United’s Director of Football Negotiations, Matt Hargreaves, has flown to Italy to meet with Napoli over a mutually beneficial deal involving Rasmus Hojlund.
Despite Hojlund’s dismal time at Old Trafford, the striker still holds high regard in Serie A due to his time with Atalanta.
Now, Italian outlet Il Napolista has reported that United are floating the idea of a switch, also adding £33.7 million into the mix to make up for the difference between the pair’s valuations.
Previously Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis has hinted at the desire for a bidding war, with Osimhen going to the highest bidder.
In response to this, United looked to offer £40 million for Osimhen, however this was shut down by Napoli, wanting his full £63 million release clause.
Now, United believe that the addition of Hojlund would be enough to top their offer up to the release clause value without including any more funds.
