Luckhurst: United player ratings vs Hong Kong with a 9/10 in friendly win

Manchester United ended their post-season tour with a 3-1 win against Hong Kong XI.

Casemiro had an early goal ruled out before Shea Lacey missed a great chance to put [United](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/all-about/manchester-united-fc) ahead, but it was the hosts who took the lead as Juninho’s shot squirmed under Tom Heaton.

[Chido Obi](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/all-about/chido-obi-martin) came on at half-time and he made it 1-1 just five minutes into the second half with a smart left-footed finish.

Obi squandered a chance to put United ahead as he put a free header wide but he made up for his miss with an excellent glancing header with 10 minutes to play. Ayden Heaven scored late on to make it 3-1.

Here are how the players rated at the Hong Kong Stadium:

**Tom Heaton**

Was furious with himself after he was easily beaten at the near post for the opening goal that was Hong Kong's only shot at goal. 4

**Tyler Fredricson**

Capped an individually uplifting two months with an assured performance and went close to scoring from a corner. 6

**Godwill Kukonki**

Did not have a great deal of defending to do as Hong Kong had one attempt at goal in the first half. 6

**Jonny Evans**

Started in his final appearance for United after an association spanning 18 years across two stints. Used the ball positively. 6

**Jaydan Kamason**

Showed a good turn of pace a couple of times down the right wing and had a shot cleared off the line. 6

**Casemiro**

Easily outpaced early on before he had a goal disallowed for offside. Will have been grateful for his first-half withdrawal ahead of his recall to the Brazil squad. 5

**Bruno Fernandes**

Enterprising as ever on possibly his last United appearance and tried to pull off a rabona when one-on-one but it was saved. 7

**Harry Amass**

Got forward plenty of times but lacked an end product when United had plenty of the ball in the final third. 5

**Alejandro Garnacho**

Had a few shots at goal and drew a save but could not procure a breakthrough in possibly his final half for United. 6

**Shea Lacey**

Not involved much in the build-up but was perfectly positioned for a pull-back that he screwed well wide. Made way before the 30-minute mark. 5

**Rasmus Hojlund**

Lost his first duel, had a shot saved and miscontrolled with the 'keeper prone and the goal at his mercy. Liam Delap's rejection is a stay of execution. 4

**Subs**

**Sekou Kone**

Lively on the ball again amid the slow pace of the game. 6

**Tyler Fletcher**

Did not get much of the ball. 5

**Altay Bayindir**

Made a save to end a penalty-box scramble and then another at 2-1. 7

**Reece Munro**

Had a serene second half. 6

**Dan Armer**

Had no defending to do. 6

**Ayden Heaven**

Good block at 1-1 to prevent Hong Kong from taking the lead again. Scored late on. 8

**Amad**

Wowed the crowd a couple of times with his technique. Crossed for Heaven to score. 7

**Toby Collyer**

Often ensured United retained the ball. 6

**Manuel Ugarte**

Used the ball better than he has of late. 6

**Patrick Dorgu**

Drove forward a number of times with the ball. 6

**Mason Mount**

Had a curling shot well saved and should have had a penalty. 7

**Kobbie Mainoo**

Some skilful moments but blazed an easy chance over. 6

**Chido Obi**

Equalised with a cracking finish for his maiden goal for the United first team. Had other good chances before scoring the winning goal. 9

**Jim Thwaites**

Hesitated to get the ball inside his third. 5

**Jack Moorhouse**

One of the last arrivals. 5
