BOSTON, MA (WFSB) - The University of Connecticut men’s basketball will play a game in the home of basketball royalty this coming season.
The Huskies have a matchup with BYU at the TD Garden in Boston, the turf of the 18-time NBA champion Celtics.
The matchup on Nov. 15, 2025 is part of the “Hall of Fame Series Boston.”
Both UConn and BYU are projected way-too-early preseason top-10 teams.
The last time the two teams met was in the 2003 NCAA Tournament. Emeka Okafur and his 5th-seeded Huskies helped put away the 12th-seeded Cougars.
The last games UConn played in Boston were part of the team’s 2024 championship run.
Returning to the Huskies for the 2025-2026 season are Massachusetts-native Alex Karaban, Solo Ball, and Tarris Reed Jr.
