Man United shift their focus to 2 Arsenal targets

Man United have lost the pursuit of Liam Delap. Hence, they have shifted their focus to 2 strikers. The players in the question are both top targets of Arsenal for the summer window.

Man United were keen to sign Liam Delap this summer. But, they have been beaten in race by Chelsea. The 22 year old has opted to join the Blues. The West London club will now pay £30 million and make the Englishman their new number nine.

United are desperate to sign a striker this summer. They are ready to part ways with both Hojlund and Zirkzee. After missing out on Delap, they are now monitoring other options in the market. As of now, they have 2 Arsenal targets on radar.

Man United monitoring 2 Arsenal striker targets

According to inews, United are looking at Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko. Both of these strikers are top priority of Arsenal football club. Mikel Arteta’s men have been linked with them on multiple occasions since last summer.

However, it will not be easy for United to land any of them. The Red Devils have missed the chance to qualify for UCL after losing Europa League final. Hence, they will miss all European football as they have finished on 15th position. This will push them way behind in pursuit of top players like Gyokeres or Sesko.

Gyokeres has €100 million release clause in his current contract. But, he is said to leave for way below that price. As of now, it is said that he can cost €70 million. On the other hand, Sesko is said to cost around €80 million due to his flexible release clause and younger age.

Gyokeres and Sesko can both become a very good addition to United squad. But, they can opt to join Arsenal instead who are in far better position right now. It will be interesting to see which Premier League side signs which striker.
