Aston Villa has raised its season ticket and match-by-match prices for adults by 5% for next season, while also rewarding attendance at its women’s teams matches.
The Birmingham-based side states it has implemented the increase for the 2025-26 campaign as it is “consistent with several other Premier League clubs”.
“Our pricing strategy reflects careful consideration, ensuring we can create as strong a team as possible – one capable of challenging at the top end of the Premier League table and remaining competitive in European football – while continually working within the parameters of both Premier League and UEFA Profit and Sustainability rules,” read a club statement.
Existing season ticket-holders will be able to renew in a window lasting from June 4 to July 4.
Meanwhile, fans on the waiting list will now be able to earn loyalty points, which contribute to being able to purchase a season ticket, by attending Aston Villa Women’s home games.
Points will also be awarded for attending Premier League fixtures, as well as domestic and European matches at Villa Park.
Approximately 45,000 people are currently on the waiting list and the update is designed to bring those fans closer to the club and encourage them to be actively engaged.
Fellow Premier League club AFC Bournemouth tried something similar before the start of the 2023-24 campaign.
The Cherries initially included two mandatory women’s matches in their men’s season ticket package and charged extra.
However, backlash from fans led the club to change its decision and make the tickets optional.
