Manchester United are on the brink of their biggest sale ever as Bruno Fernandes edges close to a move to Al-Hilal.

Over the last 24 hours, the potential move of United’s captain has reached fever pitch, with Bruno Fernandes’ agent, Miguel Pinho, flying out to Saudi Arabia.

Pinho was seen staying in a hotel close to Al-Hilal’s camp, meeting with their president for lengthy talks which the club have described as “productive”.

Since then it’s been reported that the Saudi side are willing to do whatever they need to in order to bring Fernandes to the club before the Club World Cup next month.

As such, the side have agreed to Fernandes’ demands and now might be doing the same with United.

Previously it was reported that Al-Hilal are offering United £100 million for their captain, with Fernandes being offered a three year contract earning him £700,000 per week, or £65 million per year.

Now, Fabrizio Romano has weighed into the conversation confirming that the club are “prepared to match what Manchester United could ask for Bruno Fernandes”.

As such, United’s move to sell their most influential player could go a really long way to solving their financial issues and rebuilding their squad to bounce back next season.

However, with Fernandes being the club’s top goalscorer and top playmaker, providing assists, it’s hard to know if the move would be the right one or could to more issues by losing such a strong player.
