Report: David Moyes' plan for Harrison Armstrong at Everton shared as Derby eye another loan

Everton fans will be hoping to see some of their young prospects flourish under David Moyes.

Having returned to Merseyside with a real fear of relegation, Moyes did not offer too many opportunities to the youngsters.

The Friedkins are keen to see Everton continue their development under the 62-year-old with a view of their academy products playing a role.

Everton are looking to bring in a new midfielder when the transfer market does open for business.

However, the Toffees have some talent already at their disposal which could play a role under Moyes in the 2025/26 campaign.

One of those youngsters is Harrison Armstrong who has already spent some time out on loan away from Finch Farm.

The young midfielder will be keen to make an impression over the summer and Moyes has already made a big decision on him.

The Everton staff are believed to be huge fans of the young midfielder who is showing a lot of positive signs back at Finch Farm.

The Summer Series is going to provide Armstrong with a huge opportunity to prove himself under Moyes for the first time.

Armstrong has said he wants to play at Everton following his return from Pride Park earlier in the month.

Some Everton fans were frustrated by James Garner towards the back end of the season, which may well provide an opening in the XI for Armstrong to claim.

Derby County want Armstrong on loan again

Despite only playing half a season at Pride Park, Armstrong seriously impressed Derby’s players who provided him with the nickname ‘Bruce Wayne’.

The report claims Derby would love to bring Armstrong back on another loan.

Although Armstrong has plenty of years remaining on his Everton deal this summer is going to be an important one.

Moyes regularly watched Armstrong in action for Derby as he attended games at Pride Park to keep an eye on the midfielder.

Clearly, he is a player who Moyes does like but he is going to have to prove himself over the summer if he wants to be considered an option for the starting XI.
