Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount believes Chido Obi has "good movement" as a striker.

United played the second game of their post-season tour against Hong Kong on Friday and fell behind in the 19th minute after a counter-attacking goal from Juninho.

Ruben Amorim made wholesale changes at half-time and United delivered a much-improved performance in the second half. Obi equalised shortly after play resumed and scored a superb header in the 82nd minute.

Ayden Heaven then wrapped up the 3-1 victory by scoring a header during injury time.

Speaking to MUTV, Mount praised Obi and said: "Chido is a very good player, I've obviously played with him loads, but in training you can see what he's about. He's got good movement and as a No.10, you want to try put balls into the box for him to get on the end of.

"He's a threat with the ball in the air. All the young kids who played today stepped up in difficult circumstances and all performed very well, so I'm very happy for them."

Amorim was asked about Obi and said: "He proved already in the Under-18s he can score goals. The Premier League is a completely different world but he has made a good start. He is working really well.

"I was really pleased with all the kids. Comparing this game to the last one, the way we faced the game. We were losing in first half, but that was completely different from the last game. That was a good thing."

Mount also thanked the supporters who attended the game at the Hong Kong Stadium.

"First and foremost, I just want to say a massive thank you to all the fans who have come out here today, it was amazing to see them all in Malaysia and now here in Hong Kong," he said.

"The support has been brilliant. After the first game, we wanted to come here, win and put on a good performance, so that was the most important thing for us - perform for the fans.

"I enjoyed the second half, it was good to get out there and play. It wasn't the easiest weather, but we love playing football, so it was good to be out there."

United's players will now be given the chance for a summer break before the start of pre-season.
