Nottingham Forest pushing to sign trio from same club – Want deals done “in the coming days”

Nottingham Forest are targeting a trio of players from Botafogo this summer, with striker Igor Jesus at the top of that list.

That’s [according to journalist Jorge Nicola](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTqS_r9JJAA), who provides details on Nottingham Forest’s efforts to sign Jesus as well as Jair Cunha and Cuiabano.

Reports throughout this week have insisted that Nottingham Forest have returned to the charge for Jesus, who they targeted in the January transfer window.

An official bid is believed to have been submitted for him and a report today stated a €20m deal was being pushed, with his entourage keen to get it over the line.

It’s not the first time that Jesus has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal and Fulham also credited with an interest this summer and various other sides linked in the past.

The 24-year-old has a growing reputation in Brazil after scoring 15 goals and registering six assist in 54 games for Botafogo. He previously had 43 goals and 20 assists in 88 games for Shabab Al-Ahli Club.

Nicola, though, reports that Jesus is not the only Botafogo player currently being targeted by Nottingham Forest, and they actually want to secure a trio of deals.

“Let’s talk about Nottingham Forest wanting to clean up Botafogo,” he said on his YouTube channel.

“I told you exclusively on Thursday afternoon that Igor Jesus had an offer from Nottingham Forest, remember? Well, there are two other players who are also in the English club’s sights: Jair and Cuiabano.

“Igor Jesus, Jair and Cuiabano, the three are targets of Nottingham Forest. The English club intends to sign the trio in the coming days. And even if they are not all used by Nottingham Forest, they may end up being loaned out within Evangelos Marinakis’ group.

“Oh, and just to add to that, regarding Igor Jesus, who is the most talked about of all of them, Forrest’s offer is for €22m. But Igor Jesus has not yet said yes to the English club’s offer. That’s because he’s waiting for an offer from a big Italian club, which should arrive in the next few days.”
