Lyon midfielder Rayan Cherki has said yes to Manchester City and there will be no issue with his personal terms.
That’s according to journalist Santi Aouna, who reports that Pep Guardiola has spoken with Cherki about the project at Manchester City.
According to his information, talks are now ongoing between Manchester City, Lyon and the various parties about the transfer. City are the favourites to sign the 21-year-old at this moment in time.
He reports that a deal could be done for around €40m. Manchester City want to get a deal done quickly ahead of the Club World Cup. They know other top European clubs are keen on the midfielder.
It is a similar situation for AC Milan star Tijani Reijnders, hence both deals currently being pushed through quickly by those in charge at the Etihad.
They, like other teams competing at this summer’s tournament, have a special window ahead of the Club World Cup in which to do complete transfer deals before the main summer transfer window opens.
It seems they are using that to their advantage and pushing ahead with a move for Cherki, who has agreed on personal terms and already spoken to Pep Guardiola.
