Mediaset: Reijnders to join Man City for €75m – what Milan’s summer budget will be

AC Milan are expected to sell Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City soon, and the transfer budget will become nine figures as a result.

There has been a lot of talk about City making a new improved offer for Reijnders after their first one was rejected. They are under pressure to get the deal done quickly, given Pep Guardiola is believed to want the Dutchman in time for the Club World Cup.

According to SportMediaset, after making an initial offer of €60m the English club gone up to the €75m requested by the Rossoneri directors. At this point, only the final details are missing for the official announcement.

Milan’s next moves

City wanted Reijnders for the Club World Cup in the United States and this acceleration will satisfy his demands. Milan will need a new midfield playmaker as a result and a lot will depend on Massimiliano Allegri, who has already met with Igli Tare in the last few hours to plan the market.

Milan intend to invest part of the money earned from Reijnders’ sale, adding €25m of the sum for a total budget of €100m. The interest in Venezia star Hans Nicolussi Caviglia is confirmed, someone Allegri knows from his time at Juventus.

In terms of other outgoings, Allegri values Rafael Leao a lot and that is why he should remain despite talk about Bayern Munich and Arsenal. Theo Hernandez should leave Milan if the right bid arrives, and the player will evaluate Al-Hilal’s €18m net per year salary offer.
