The New York Knicks staved off elimination Thursday with a nail-biting 111-94 Game 5 win over the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. While the on-court action delivered the thrills fans have come to expect from this Knicks run, Madison Square Garden’s celebrity row was once again packed with names including Timothée Chalamet and girlfriend Kylie Jenner, Ben Stiller, and of course, New York superfan Spike Lee. And though Chalamet’s courtside Chrome Hearts outfits are dominating headlines and social media as of late, Lee’s blue-and-orange threads have been as bold as ever.
For Game 5, Lee donned head-to-toe Knicks colors in a custom orange zoot suit with blue pinstriping. Designed by Cointel, the same look was recently worn by the legendary director while attending the Cannes Film Festival.

At Cannes, Lee paired the suit with a pair of his Jordan Spizike Low sneakers in all-black. But for Thursday’s Game 5 appearance, Lee went lighter with a white/metallic silver/barely blue/neutral gray version of the sneaker.

The Jordan Spizike Low is a low-top variation of the original Spizike model, which is sometimes stylized Spiz’ike. The sneaker was released in 2006 as a homage to the director’s legacy and connection to Michael Jordan’s Air Jordan line.
The hybrid design blended elements of the Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 5, Air Jordan 6 and Air Jordan 20 sneakers, each of which had ties to Lee’s Mars Blackmon character. In 2024, Jordan Brand brought back the shoe in the form of the Spizike Low.

Next, the Knicks will meet the Pacers in Indiana Saturday as New York faces a must-win Game 6 scenario. The game tips off at 8 p.m. ET.
Fans looking to emulate Lee’s sneaker choice won’t have to do too much searching, as full-size runs are currently available from select Jordan Brand retailers. Even better, as of publishing, the style is currently available for less than its $160 retail price from both GOAT and StockX.
