Kevin Durant is getting up there in age, but he remains a force on the court. The 36-year-old Durant averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.2 blocks per game for the Phoenix Suns in 2024-25.
Despite Durant putting up those numbers, the Suns finished the season with a 36-46 record. They didn't even get into the play-in tournament, finishing 11th in the Western Conference.
Team success has eluded Durant since he left the Golden State Warriors in 2019. He hasn't even made it to the Conference Finals, but it's not because he hasn't produced at a high level.

Durant has averaged 27.9 points on 53.1% shooting from the field in the regular season and 30.4 points on 48.9% shooting in the playoffs since he left the Warriors. That kind of production is amazing as it is, but keep in mind that he has put up these numbers after tearing his Achilles in the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.
Durant's longevity is simply incredible and reminded fans of that recently. When an individual on X asked him what he would consider his prime, he pointed to his entire professional career.
Durant has not averaged fewer than 20 points per game in any season in his career. He put up 20.3 points as a rookie in 2007-08 and has averaged over 25 points per game in every campaign since.
Durant now has 16 seasons in which he averaged over 25 points per game. That ranks second in NBA history, with only LeBron James (20) being ahead of him.
