Report: How much money Leeds have available to spend in summer transfer market ahead of PL return

Leeds United will be playing in the Premier League next season after a superb Championship campaign in which they finished top and reached the 100-point mark.

The Whites are back in the top flight at the second time of asking after just falling short last season when they lost in the Championship playoff final.

However, Leeds United will be mindful of the fate Southampton suffered after they got promoted at the Whites’ expense.

With that in mind, Leeds will be eager to strengthen their ranks to avoid the same fate as the 2023/24 playoff winners.

A report has now emerged which states how much Leeds reportedly have available to spend this summer.

Leeds United set for £150million transfer budget amid PSR caveat

The Daily Mail has published an in-depth report regarding Leeds’ transfer plans this summer, including the transfer budget at their disposal.

The report noted how 49ers Enterprises, the club owners, have issued £120million worth of new shares to existing investors to help fund their spending plans.

Leeds are reportedly expected to spend that much, with a budget of approximately £150million for the summer transfer window.

As the Whites have spent two of the past three seasons in the Championship, they are allowed losses of £61million, as per the Premier League’s PSR rules.

Departures will also be on the cards at Leeds, which would create more room for the club to spend on new signings, added the report.
