Former Ole Miss superstar quarterback **[Jaxson Dart](https://247sports.com/Player/Jaxson-Dart-46099432)** has officially signed his first NFL contract with the New York Giants. Dart's deal is worth $17 million over the next four years with a fifth-year option included, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
One day the future of the organization will once again rely on the right arm of an Ole Miss product.
Dart became just the third Rebel quarterback to be taken in the first round, after the Giants traded to select him with the 25th overall pick in April.

The rookie quarterback has dazzled during rookie minicamp and OTAs this spring. ESPN recently projected Dart to see the field sooner rather than later.
Dart served as a counselor at the Manning Passing Academy twice and went on to break Eli's program record for career passing yards, finishing with 10,617 to eclipse the two-time Super Bowl MVP's 10,119 in college. Dart also owns Ole Miss records in wins (28) and winning percentage (.737) by a starting quarterback.
"He's a winner — he's gonna always rise to the top," Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin told The New York Post this month. "He's got a drive to be great, to outwork people, to be better than people and to just beat people in whatever it is. He's gonna live at the office -- if he messes up he'll just stay at practice forever and work on that exact throw. He's very critical of himself and he holds himself to such a high standard.”
