The Tennessee Titans effectively sealed Will Levis' fate during the 2025 NFL Draft. With plenty of holes on the roster and several transformational players available with the No. 1 pick, the team opted instead for Miami quarterback Cam Ward.
Ward is expected to be the Week 1 starter for the Titans when they travel to take on the Denver Broncos. While head coach Brian Callahan has neglected to officially name who will be under center for the team, there is almost no doubt it will be Ward.
Trade rumors have swirled around Levis since this decision, as the third-year quarterback likely has no future in Tennessee with Ward now in the picture.

On Wednesday, a Titans reporter asked Levis after an OTA practice if he would like a fresh start somewhere else in the NFL. The reporter was essentially asking if Levis wanted to be traded, and the 2023 second-round pick did not take the bait.
"Fresh start, what do you mean?" Levis asked. "Yeah, I got no power under that. It's their decision."
Levis has started 21 games in his NFL career for the Titans, and has a 5-16 record in those contests. He has completed just 61.0% of his passes for 3,899 yards and 21 touchdowns, which is good for 185.7 yards and a touchdown per game.
While these are not terrible marks, they are far from what a team would expect from their franchise player. When adding in the fact that Levis has thrown 16 interceptions and fumbled 17 times as well, it becomes clearer why the Titans drafted Ward.
Nothing is imminent, but Levis could easily be traded at some point before or during the season. His market may not be very strong at this moment, but it could be a mutually beneficial deal if the two sides parted ways.
