The upcoming NBA offseason is looking as though it is going to be full of moves including by some of the league’s biggest stars.
Of course, Giannis Antetokounmpo is the biggest name rumored to possibly be on the move this summer but Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant is also a name to watch.
Phoenix struggled throughout the season as they finished 11th in the Western Conference with an abysmal 36-46 record, missing the playoffs for the first time since the 2019-20 campaign.

Due to this, they are expected to move on from both Durant and Bradley Beal in the offseason to rebuild their roster around Booker and there should be many teams that show interest in adding Durant.
While the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets and Miami Heat have all been rumored to have interest in Durant, a contender in the West is also expected to pursue him this summer.
According to Hoops Wire’s Sam Amico, the Minnesota Timberwolves are expected to pursue Durant this summer to add an 'alpha' next to Anthony Edwards.
"The Timberwolves need another 'alpha' next to Edwards to win it all, which is why sources told Hoops Wire that Minnesota is expected to pursue a Durant trade again this offseason," Amico wrote.
Of course, the Timberwolves have reached the Western Conference Finals in back-to-back seasons but they were unable to advance to the NBA Finals each season.
Because of this, they are reportedly now looking to add another star player next to Edwards to chase a championship and Durant could help them accomplish that next season.

It was reported that Minnesota tried to acquire Durant during the trade deadline but their talks with Phoenix failed as the Suns kept Durant on their roster.
With the Suns now headed towards a potential rebuild, the Timberwolves are once again expected to pursue the future Hall of Famer who could help lead them to their first championship in franchise history next to Edwards and the rest of their core.
