Garnacho looks set to leave Old Trafford this summer after falling out of favour with manager Ruben Amorim.
Manchester United are set to see somewhat of a squad overhaul, with the club looking to buy several new players. But if they can afford to do so, they will also need to sell in order to generate transfer funds.
Napoli and Chelsea had both been previously linked to signing the Argentine winger, however, recent updates have said that there are several new clubs looking to sign the 20-year-old this summer.
Aston Villa and Bayer Levekusen enter Garnacho race
According to fresh reports, there are new suitors for the 20-year-old. Caught Offside are reporting firstly that former Man United manager Erik Ten Hag would like to sign Garnacho for Bayer Leverkusen.
Ten Hag has replaced Xavi Alonso at Leverkusen, and is likely set to lose star player Florian Wirtz this summer. The former United boss reportedly views Garnacho as a potential replacement for Wirtz for next season.
The report says that Leverkusen want to sign Garnacho on loan, however Man United are keen to sell him on a permanent transfer instead.
It was also reported that Premier League side Aston Villa have entered the race to sign the winger too. Villa had Marcus Rashford on loan from United during the second half of the season, and now that he has left Vila Park, the club are looking to replace Rashford, with Garnacho a potential option.
Garnacho’s representatives have also been reportedly approached by AC Milan, with Italian rivals Juventus, Inter Milan and Roma also interested in the 20-year-old.
Who could Man United replace Garnacho with?
Mbeumo was superb this season, scoring 20 goals in 38 Premier League games for the Bees. He also provided seven assists, and would be exactly what United need, as Amorim’s side were one of the lowest-scoring teams in the Premier League this season.
However, seeing as Newcastle and Arsenal can both offer the 25-year-old Champions League football, Mbeumo may decide to move to one of those sides rather than coming to Old Trafford.
It is not clear yet as to how much Brentford want for Mbeumo exactly, but a transfer fee of £50m has been touted, making him the ideal replacement for any £43m sale of Garnacho this summer.
