Report: FIFA ruling requires Everton owners The Friedkin Group to pay £590k by next week

Everton are finally heading into a summer transfer window with their finances in order.

A lot of work needs to be done at Everton this summer both in the market and away from it following the takeover back in December.

David Moyes has the financial backing of the Friedkins who are keen to help the 62-year-old improve his squad ahead of the stadium move.

It is already looking like a competitive summer of transfers and the market has not even opened for business yet.

Chelsea have beaten Everton to Liam Delap with the Toffees being made well aware they need to be proactive if they are to land their targets.

Everton need to stump up £590k due to FIFA ruling

It has been strongly suggested Everton have now agreed a deal to sign Carlos Alcaraz on a permanent basis from Flamengo.

The finances involved are believed to be in the region of £15m with around £2.5m of that coming in the form of add-ons.

According to TYC Sports, a FIFA ruling requires Everton to send some of that transfer fee towards Alcaraz’s former side Racing Club.

FIFA’s Solidarity Scheme means Racing will be rewarded with five per cent of the fee being paid to the Brazilian outfit.

It is claimed around €700k (£590k) will be forwarded on to Racing who will happily accept the considerable sum set to land from Merseyside.

A deal for Alcaraz is expected to be concluded by next week which will delight Moyes to have the Argentine on board for the new season.

With players still set to share their contract decisions, this is certainly a solid way to head into the summer transfer window.

Everton land themselves a bargain with Carlos Alcaraz

Abdoulaye Doucoure will leave Everton at the end of his current deal, which leaves Everton with a hole to fill.

Alcaraz has certainly shown signs of being that player.

Despite Doucoure getting a lot of the minutes under the Scot, Moyes has been really impressed by Alcaraz who has stepped up with a number of goals and assists.

As if he hadn’t already made a positive impression, Alcaraz scored the only goal of the game in the final outing of the season away to Newcastle United.

At around £15m, Everton have secured themselves an absolute bargain of a deal.
