Not that this is exactly breaking news, but the Falcons are at the very least taking calls on a potential Kyle Pitts trade, according to Jordan Schultz.
Sources: Multiple teams have reached out to the #Falcons about the availability of TE Kyle Pitts.
Nothing is imminent, and Atlanta would prefer to keep him — but I’m told it would take at least a Day 2 pick to even spark serious talks. pic.twitter.com/smNLgOcBow

An Atlanta pundit, Zach Klein, reported earlier in the offseason that the Falcons would “1000%” trade Kyle Pitts if the opportunity presented itself.
What is new information is Schultz’s note that it would take at least a Day 2 draft pick to get a deal done. That’s a second- or third-rounder. The Falcons have probably had trade offers for Day 3 selections, based on this reporting.
I would be shocked if the Falcons garnered a Day 2 pick for a talented, yet underachieving tight end in the final year of his rookie deal. Kyle Pitts’ time in Atlanta may be coming to an end, but I doubt it’s happening before the 2025 campaign.
This might be a hot take, but I actually think that it’s more likely Kyle Pitts is with the Falcons in 2026 than he isn’t in 2025. He flashed at times with Kirk Cousins last year, and though he might have a bad rap with the fan base, he’s wickedly talented. Why else would other teams be calling?
The Falcons making him the highest-drafted tight end in league history almost set him up for failure. I’m not saying he hasn’t disappointed because Pitts would tell you that he has, but consistency is his biggest issue. The upside is wildly apparent. He does things no other tight end in the league can do at times.
If he can overcome those struggles, who knows what he can become with Michael Penix Jr. spinning the rock.
