Barcelona heavyweight has no intention of leaving under any circumstances amid sale rumours

Barcelona captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen finds himself in a difficult situation heading into the summer transfer window.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper, having returned from a long-term injury, has raised concerns at the club over his performance levels.

And with the Blaugrana pursuing the signing of Joan Garcia from RCD Espanyol, it has been suggested that they would be willing to sell the German if their target says yes.

Furthermore, Ter Stegen has also been targeted by a section of fans online, with a social media campaign demanding his departure.

The German international and his entourage are understood to be very upset with all the speculations of him being up for sale as well as the ‘#TerStegenOut’ campaign on social media from fans.

However, the former Borussia Monchengladbach ace, who has a contract with Barça until 2028, is not planning on leaving the club in the summer.

This could lead to an iffy situation for the club and the player, especially if Joan Garcia gives the green light to sign for the La Liga giants.

However, the 24-year-old will only sign if he is guaranteed a starting spot – something which would only be possible if Ter Stegen leaves.

So, it leaves Barcelona in a difficult place as their current captain has no plans of leaving and their top target wants guarantees of regular minutes if he signs for them.
