It wasn't that long ago that Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams found himself at the center of trade rumors.
It was all sparked by a pre-draft visit for Matthew Golden and was quickly squashed.
A little over a month later, Williams has received a ton of praise from his coaching staff.
During voluntary workouts, new offensive coordinator John Morton called him "unbelievable".

Wide receiver coach Scottie Montgomery praised Williams' football IQ and said that he was really satisfied with Williams during those workouts.
Now head coach Dan Campbell has joined the chorus of voices praising Williams ahead of the 2025 season.
While speaking to the media at OTAs, Campbell told reporters that "the sky's the limit" for the fourth-year receiver.
Oh my God, he’s got a ton of growth left and listen, he’s had a good spring. It’s another one, I don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves in OTAs, but I mean, there’s so much versatility with him. There are so many things that we can do just with his routes on the outside. I mean, we can do things inside, but just with his speed, and he’s gotten so much stronger. His ability to stop, put his foot in the ground. When you can run, you can run. And now you’re getting to where, man, you can stop on a dime. I mean, you talk about a hard cover. So the sky’s the limit for him.
After a difficult first couple of seasons in the NFL, Williams made huge strides in 2024 to put together the first 1000-yard season of his career.
Based on what the Lions' coaching staff has had to say about him this offseason, it seems they are expecting that growth to continue in 2025.
On a roster that arguably has more competition for hefty contract extensions than any other team in the league, Williams is going to need to make something big happen to secure a future in Detroit.
He clearly has the coaches believing he can do exactly that and now fans will just have to wait and see what he has to offer in the year following his breakout campaign.
