Arsenal are monitoring Rafael Leao’s situation at AC Milan but his price tag is likely to be the main obstacle to a deal, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed the Gunners will only swoop for the 25-year-old, who is also being monitored at Chelsea, if the price is right this summer.
Mikel Arteta‘s side have a window of opportunity to land Portugal international Leao with Milan failing to qualify for any type of European competition in the 2025-26 campaign.
New sporting director Andrea Berta is drawing up a shortlist of left-sided forwards with a new centre-forward also on the transfer agenda.

Arsenal close in on midfielder deal
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on 25 May that Arteta has “growing optimism” that Thomas Partey will sign a new contract to remain an Arsenal player.
It is believed the length of that new contract is the likeliest cause for the current delay, with the midfielder’s current deal set to expire next month.
Partey, 31, made 52 appearances across all competitions for the Gunners in the 2024-25 campaign.
