Spadaro: Dallas Goedert is a big part of the offense

There was "uncertainty," tight end Dallas Goedert admits. In the weeks and months after winning Super Bowl LIX, Goedert felt "a lot of emotions" about his status for the 2025 season with the Eagles, but that is all resolved. It is completely secure.

Goedert is "super stoked" to be a huge part of the Eagles' offense once again. And that's that.

"I'm excited that we were able to get something done and I could come back here to a place where I'm really comfortable and be with a lot of people that I've got a lot of love for," Goedert said. "I'm glad to be back."

Well, Goedert never left, and the fact is, he represents a significant piece of the offensive puzzle here both as a tackle-breaking player after the catch and as an in-line blocker and, truly, an all-around tight end who contributes in so many ways. We saw that in the team's playoff run last season when Goedert led the Eagles with 17 receptions for 215 yards and a touchdown – [the Stiff Arm Special against Green Bay](https://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/video/highlight-packers-eagles-dallas-goedert-makes-an-angry-runs-highlight-shoving-his-way-into-end-zone-on-24-yard-td) – in the course of four games on the way to the World Championship.

And Goedert expects to be every bit the vital player again in 2025.

"I'm excited to see what happens this year, excited to put up a really good year," Goedert said. "Have a successful year with an incredible team. I'll be the best player I can be, the best teammate I can be."
