The Falcons have been looking for a trade partner for Pitts for months now and it is getting closer than before. He is currently on the final year of his contract and could play that year out on a different team.
Pitts is coming off his highest touchdown season of his career with 4 but has yet to solidify himself as a star in this league. Pitts has not had the production you would expect from the highest drafted tight end in NFL history.

The Falcons have a few teams to consider trading Pitts to, and some NFC East teams might be on top of that list. The Cowboys or Giants could both be suitors for Pitts as they look to increase their weapons for 2025.
The Giants have Russell Wilson as their new quarterback, and they could use a tight end like Pitts who could produce in a passing scheme like the Giants will have this season. They would give up a few picks and help Atlanta get off of Pitts contract and prepare for the future.
The Cowboys are another team that needs more weapons for Dak Prescott if they want to make any noise at all in 2025. They have Ceedee Lamb, George Pickens and Jake Ferguson, but could use a player like Pitts to tie it all together.
One more team that can be a valuable team for Pitts to play on, would be the Jacksonville Jaguars. They just selected Travis Hunter in the draft and would love more talent around former number 1 pick, Trevor Lawrence.
Other teams such as the Chiefs, Jets and Broncos could all be a sleeper pick for Pitts to join this offseason.
